I know what you mean, Matt. It obviously didn't work out for Lucie in 2017, she finished 15th overall with a bottom 5 placement in the public vote...with a song that was in her musical theater wheelhouse (co-written by 2013 winner Emmelie de Forest no less). I was not a fan of the staging for her live performance - all the gold and her limp hair/lack of makeup look made her look washed out
Interesting how Lucie was in the same season of X Factor as Jedward (they beat her in a sing-off), who went on to represent Ireland in consecutive years (2011 and 2012)
There's some people on a Eurovision board that I'm a part of that want Sydnie to represent the UK in 2025, believing that "the juries would eat her up"

Some of you already know the results. DO NOT at any point spoil anything for those who decided to wait a week
While you're allowed to agree and/or disagree on who won or who should have won, DO NOT escalate it to hateful rhetoric
I will be keeping my editing windows for the Season 19 main page, the top 10 acts and Episode 1920 open at all times. I would advise all of you not to overwrite my work while I'm in the middle of things
Other than that, enjoy the show!
Well, today's finale day. Looking at the polls and odds from MJs and GoldDerby, it all seems to be pointing to a Richard win - MJ polls have him leading both by a huge margin over Solange and R&R, and GoldDerby's odds have him comfortably winning ahead of Sky Elements
But mind you, the latter's odds were wrong last year -they had Murmuration and Putri as the top 2 with AS&H dead last. So take everything with a grain of salt
I have to admire your willpower, you guys. Even with a million spoilers floating all over the place we're going to find out the winner the fair and honest way this week
If the finale is taped today, I just thought I'd put up the warning regardless

After last night's performances, it should be either Brent Street or Sky Elements
I really feel like I'm in the minority when it comes to Richard - I don't get the hype over him. I heard a few rough spots during his performance last night, especially a few bum notes in the first pre-chorus and a struggle on that glory note near the end, and to be honest he just didn't compare to his first audition. I just feel that him winning would be a bit predictable because of his story

I can't see a final without Sky Elements, the tribute to Preston's daughter was really beautiful (using S17 alum Lily Meola's song "Butterfly") and very fitting given the episode fell on the 23rd anniversary of 9/11. I hadn't seen Simon cry that much since Attraction's semifinal performance in BGT over a decade ago
It's what I've called since then the "Courtney Trajectory". An act that gets a lot of hype from fans and favor from the producers (aka the "Chosen One") peaks too soon while others up their game and peaks when it counts. Richard took a step down in the QF with the song choice compared to his audition and some other acts have increased their trajectory ready to strike at the right time
