<p>Hi all! As your Wiki Manager, I want to make you aware of an upcoming change on Fandom that will affect all its communities, this one included, and I wanted to make sure things will go down as smoothly as possibly here. It's important that everyone is aware and has the opportunity to give feedback and ask questions. </p><p>As you may be aware, Special:Forum is being retired and all its content is migrated to Discussions before the rest of the wiki will be migrated to the Unified Community Platform. </p><p>While this will undoubtedly be a change that will require some getting used to, Discussions has recently received a wave of interface improvements to make the feature more comfortable for Forums users, which was based on the feedback received from forum communities (although these enhancements are not on the Fandom app for Android and iOS). In the end, it's mainly the platform that will change, as people can continue to discuss the franchise on Discussions as frequently as they did here on the forums. </p><p>When this will happen, Discussions will be enabled on the wiki, and the transfer process will render the Forum into a read-only state as the content is migrated automatically. Discussions will be open during and after the migration, so you can continue to communicate while the transfer is ongoing. </p><p>One of the biggest things you'll notice is that Discussions doesn't support wikitext. In order to preserve the Forum content as it currently is, even where those posts use wikitext, a special converter will be run so that your old Forums posts will look basically the same with the same formatting and templates after they have been migrated, with a few very rare exceptions. However, do note that editing old Forums posts and comments with wikitext on Discussions will break the formatting. </p><p>In terms of user involvement, there will be another big change: it will no longer be possible for anonymous contributors to participate, as Discussions requires everyone to have a Fandom account. </p><p>I took a look around on your forum posts, and I noticed that they aren't that heavy on wikitext, template or gallery use, or other complex formatting. If I missed posts that would have any of the aforementioned and of which you have questions how that content will be preserved, please alert me to them, so I can pass that along to make sure it'll be given special attention. </p><p>I know this may be a change that you didn't ask for, but it is a Fandom site-wide change, and we are here to try to make this transition as easy and smoothly as possible. As such, you can check this archived thread for some frequently asked questions, but otherwise don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or comments you may have about this. </p>

<p>Although I don't plan to continue to moderate or edit here often, I figured it was worth bringing this to everyone's attention following the announcement of the removal of the forums. Fandom is planning to get rid of the on-wiki chatroom, with no foreseeable replacement in sight. </p><p>I understand the wiki chat is a hotspot for live episode discussion, so this is kind of an unfortunate reality. I highly recommend the users here who want to continue to have live discussions and whatnot band together to make an AGT wiki Discord server, as I am aware many users here already have accounts, and Discord servers have far more features and accessibility than the Wiki chatroom does. </p><p>That's all she wrote for now. <p>From the looks of it, Fandom is getting rid of traditional forums and replacing them with a new format called "discussions", which is similar to Reddit from what I can tell. <p>For real, this time. </p><p>It is with a heavy heart that I officially announce that, after a four year tenure as a user, moderator, and administrator of this website (once as TheFoxyRiolu, now as peachfuz), I have made the difficult decision to move on from the America's Got Talent Fandom page. As of today, I am no longer an admin on the website. </p><p>I admit, I am both relieved and saddened by the fact that I'm finally able to bring myself to move on. Although my experience on this website over the past four years has allowed me to meet some absolutely wonderful people, grow as a person and a figure in leadership, and find out I'm much better at handling myself in stressful situations and debates than I thought I am, this website has also held an air of anxiety to it that isn't entirely the fault of the mass userbase. </p><p>(This is the part of the post where I address some problematic shit the community has been involved in, so buckle up whoops) </p><p>I understand that these problems begin and end with JayGT, the now-defunct fantasy season "friend group" of users that ignited a lot of toxicity and discomfort in the larger AGT wiki community. Although JayGT (and Jay himself) has long since ended (for the better), I still feel the need to address some of the shit that went down. The JayGT group often felt like an elitist group of users who, whether they meant to or not, held themselves as the "good" members of the larger AGT wiki website, and a select few of those users stills seem to do that. JayGT was also an incredibly stressful operation mentally, with petty drama happening on a week-to-week basis, sides being taken constantly over these stupid moments of discourse, and the emotional weight of being manipulated by the showrunner. That's not even to mention the uncomfortable dynamic Jay had with the userbase that consisted largely of high school-age people... something that, I think, speaks for itself. I was not the person most affected by Jay, but he left his mark on me and everyone else nonetheless. </p><p>With that said, I am sorry to everyone who was ever a part of JayGT who I hurt, or who I let be hurt by him. Although I don't think I'll ever quite fully resolve my tensions with certain users (a testament to either my naivety or their stubbornness), I am willing to move on with an open mind and an open heart. The same goes to the remnants of the JayGT group in the FantasyAGT group, a group I left for my own personal well-being; it reminded me all too much of what JayGT was like. I do hope that, eventually, the community here can move on from the JayGT days of 2017-2019 completely, and find their own peace, as I have struggled to find mine. </p><p>But enough depressing shit, am I right? </p><p>In two months, I will officially be a college student; a crazy reality considering I was barely fresh out of middle school when I first edited the website for the first time. Through thick and thin, the people of this community has been a source of entertainment, discussion, and even, at times, comfort, for me and countless others. Although we very rarely got along completely (stan Brandon Leake :(), I can safely say I am glad to have been a part of this website's history as a community member, and, later, a discussion moderator and full-on administrator. </p><p>So, to all of the people I can truly call friends who I've met on this website, thank you for your hospitality and kindness. These users include, but aren't limited to, Fresh, Saf, Mike, Luke, TDFan, MegaMan/Jupi, Spinach, Chip, Max, Gleeky, Nemo, Wheezy, Jacho, and, of course, my main man Ace Shin; thank you so much. It's been an absolute pleasure to have inhabited your forums over the last four years and six seasons of America's Got Talent, a stupid little show that I just can't seem to stop caring about no matter how hard I try. And an even bigger thank you to Smack and Erik, two amazing, hard-working administrators who have done an excellent job at servicing this community, and whose maturity has shone above everyone else's over the years I've been a spectator to all of the happenings of the chatroom and forums. </p><p>I don't plan on leaving the Internet entirely, but I doubt you'll see me around the wiki much at all anymore. Life is changing extremely quickly, and I need to hop on that train now before I fall off of it; college is approaching quickly, my friends, and I've got a future ahead of me. According to the article, this also means that she might not finish judging this season (I personally don't think she should, for the sake of her own mental health, but that's up to her). </p><p>So...yeah. I wish her the best, really. </p>

<p>Hey guys, it's Alien, your favorite user. Today I will be proposing a list of requirements for rights on this wiki. </p><p>Admins-(4 allowed) Right now we have 3 admins- Erik, Jay, and Smack. In order to become an admin, you should have at least 1,000 edits in this wiki(board and articles), and you must have been on the wiki for at least 1 Season of AGT. After any user has met those requirements, one of the admins, will ask the user if they want to be an admin, and if thye say yes, than they can become an admin. The only ideal candidate is Xboy for now. </p><p>Chat Moderators-(Unlimited allowed) Other than Jay's other accounts, we have two chat mods, Xboy and Danger. I think in order to be a chat mod, you shoukd have to have been on the chat for at least 5 full episodes, and stayed after or before for at least 2 hours. Then, one of the admins will ask if they want to be a chat mod, and if they say yes, than they can become a chat mod. Some ideal candidates for this are MegaMan, Speedy, Cardinals, and Usagi. </p><p>Discussions Moderater-(Unlimited allowed) There are currently no dicuss mods on this wiki. Discuss mods can close board threads that are getting out of hand, and they can give users warning who are vandalizing the pages. In order to becoma a discuss mod, you must have been on this wiki for at least 2 rounds of a Season, and have had at least 250 edits. And, they admin, does, yeah you know what I'm going to say. Someone can be both a discuss mod, and a chat mod. Some ideal candidates are Snuggle, Saf, Xboy, Me, and Tebeocubes. </p><p>I hope this works. </p>
