AIRFOOTWORKS was a dance group from Season 19 of America's Got Talent. They finished in the Bottom 5 of the Top 10.
Background[]
AIRFOOTWORKS are from Japan. The group were formed by Takashi Jonishi of World Order fame, consists of hiphop dancer Ryo, breakdancer Nao and Street Calisthenics Trainer Ko and are mentored by Kenichi Ebina.
When he was a kid, Takashi watched a dance TV show with body popping and animation before deciding he wanted to pursue that style of dance in Tokyo. While he was performing, Takashi injured his back, but during rehab he watched a workout video of a person holding themself up in the air using a metal bar which saw him create the idea of the groups concept.
Takashi describes the group’s style of dance as a one of a kind dance that gives people who view it the impression of weightlessness and as if the performer is walking in mid-air.
In 2023, the group reached the Final of the 1st ever season of Japan’s Got Talent.

Trivia[]
- If he was successful in doing so, AIRFOOTWORKS would have been the 2nd act Simon had stolen the Golden Buzzer from Howie since Champions 2 when he stole it to support Boogie Storm. Though unlike Boogie Storm, it didn't count as his Golden Buzzer as Howie had beat him to it.
