America's Got Talent: All-Stars

America's Got Talent: All Stars is a spinoff of America's Got Talent, that premiered on January 2, 2023. The show's format is similar to that of America's Got Talent: The Champions. The spinoff featured 60 acts from across the Got Talent franchise that placed high in their respective version of the show, and seen major success from their appearances, competing against each other for the title of AGT Ultimate All-Star. Terry Crews returned as the show's host, while Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel returned as judges.

Season 16 runner-up, Aidan Bryant was the show's winner, claiming the title of AGT Ultimate All-Star, while the runner-up position was given to Season 17 finalist, Avery Dixon.

Preliminaries[]

Over six different weeks, 10 of the 60 acts competing in the competition, will perform, in hopes of advancing to the finals. They will either do this in two ways; they can either recieve a Golden Buzzer anytime, from one of the judges, the host, or both as a group, in order to immediately advance. If not, they will face the superfan vote, in which the most voted act from the viewers, will advance to the final with the Golden Buzzer act. In the final Preliminaries episode, the superfans were able to vote one final act into the finals.

Like all iterations however, if a judge dislikes an act performing, they will press their buzzer. Although this never happened, if all three judges press their buzzers, the act is forced to stop. However the performer will not automatically be eliminated like in the original show, as the judges are not in control of who goes through and who doesn't. There was only one time where all three buzzers were pressed, however due to Simon being the one to press all three, it did not count, and therefore the act was able to finish.

Trivia[]

As Sofia Vergara was committed to other projects at the time of filming, she was not part of the judging panel for All-Stars.
Howie Mandel is the only judge to not buzz the entire season and this is the second such season in which he did not buzz, the first being Champions 1.
In the finale, the entire top 5 consisted of acts aged 21 and under, and did not consist of singing acts.
Dustin's Dojo is the only act in which a judge other than Simon buzzed.
