America's Got Talent: Extreme is a spinoff of America's Got Talent that premiered on February 21, 2022. It showcased the most outrageous, unique and jaw-dropping acts of enormous scale that simply can't be confined to a theater stage. Contestants vied for a chance to win a $500,000 prize and the ultimate title, the champion of America's Got Talent: Extreme. Terry Crews returned as the host, and Simon Cowell returned as a judge. Professional motorsports competitor and stuntman Travis Pastrana and professional WWE wrestler Nikki Bella were brought on as new judges.

During auditions, the judges vote whether acts move forward in the competition, including five acts that receive a Golden Buzzer to advance straight to the finale. any act receiving 3 red buzzers will be automatically eliminated from the competition.

The vote then goes to a select group of "superfans" from around the country. The superfans' top two acts from auditions will join the five Golden Buzzers in the finale.
