Anna Clendening was a singer from Season 9 of America's Got Talent. She was eliminated in the Quarterfinals.

Anna Clendening is a Chapel Hill, North Carolina native. She is unemployed because she has anxiety and depression disorder which she was diagnosed with when she was 14. Just 2-3 months prior to her audition, she was bedridden, refusing to leave her house. With therapy, she became better, yet had a relapse 4 months ago. Music helped her through her anxiety about facing the world.

Before performing, Anna Clendening struggled working up the courage to walk onto the stage. After some support from Nick Cannon, who walked onto the stage with her, Anna relaxed. Anna's audition in Episode 903 consisted of singing "Hallelujah" while playing the guitar. After her performance, Howie Mandel walked up to the stage to hug her for her bravery facing her anxiety. Howard SternHeidi KlumMel B, and Howie all voted "Yes," sending Anna to Judgment Week.

Judgment Week

Anna Clendening was sorted into the "Female Singers" category in Judgment Week. Although she suffered a panic attack before the performance, with encouragement from her competitors and herself, she convinced herself to act. Her performance in Episode 907 consisted of singing her faster rendition of Imagine Dragons' "Radioactive" while playing the guitar. Anna's performance was strong enough for the judges to send her to the Quarterfinals along with Emily West and Kelli Glover in Episode 908.

Anna Clendening's Week 3 Quarterfinals performance in Episode 913 consisted of singing Christina Perri's "Human." Anna did not receive enough votes to be sent to the Semifinals, eliminating her from the competition in Episode 914, instead of Paul Ieti.
