Aurora Light Painters was a light painting group from Season 7 of America's Got Talent. It was eliminated in the Quarterfinals.

Background[]

Aurora Light Painters is a new artistic collaboration born from a combination of photography, animation & video techniques. It is an extension of traditional light painting but instead of using an open shutter of a still camera, it uses a system to create a totally unique live interaction where everyone can see the image as it is being created. 1

Audition[]

The Aurora Light Painters' audition in Episode 708 consisted of "moving light (in the form of glowing sticks and flashlights)" quickly to portray shapes on a screen capturing the path of light to portray a story of a spaceman falling in love with a mermaid to "Fireflies." Howard Stern, Sharon Osbourne, and Howie Mandel all voted "Yes," sending the act to the Vegas Round.

Vegas Round[]

Aurora Light Painters was one of the Judges' Favorites in the Vegas Round. It was sorted into the "Novelty Acts" category. Its performance in Episode 711 consisted of "light painting" a picture of a fairy holding a tiny man to the song "Magic." The group's audition was strong enough for the judges to send it to the Quarterfinals in Episode 712 along with All Beef Patty, Joe Castillo, and Light Wire Theater.

Quarterfinals[]

The Aurora Light Painters' Quarterfinals performance in Episode 716 consisted of light painting a story of a girl being scared by a three-eyed monster under at night, and then being given that monster as a doll in a small box to "Strangers in the Night." Howard Stern buzzed the act. The group did not receive enough votes to be sent to the Semifinals in Episode 717, eliminating the group from the competition along with Big Barry, Lisa Clark Dancers, and The All Ways.
