Axel Blake was a comedian who competed on America's Got Talent: All-Stars. He was eliminated in the Preliminaries.
Background[]
Axel Blake was born June 2nd, 1988 in West London. Prior to his BGT arrival, Blake had been doing comedy routines in shows like Comedy X-Factor and Young Dons of Comedy, and occasionally performed at the 02. He has also acted in a few movies, such as the character Cruz in "Love Spell". Additionally, he recieved his own Amazon Prime TV special entitled "Axel Blake - I'm Not Gonna Lie", where he played himself.
Axel competed on the fifteenth series of Britain's Got Talent. His reasoning for applying to join the show, was in order to teach his 12 year old son named Nyron, to believe in himself, and that if his mind was put to something, he could make it happen. He received the Golden Buzzer from Simon Cowell in his audition, and went on to win the series. Becoming the second ever Golden Buzzer winner in BGT history, after previous season winner; Jon Courtenay.
All-Stars Preliminary[]
Axel Blake's Preliminary performance in Episode AS05 consisted of performing a stand-up routine about his Los Angeles experience packing suitcases and airplane seats. Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Simon Cowell all gave him standing ovations. He did not receive enough votes from the Superfans to enter the Top 3 of the night, eliminating him from the competition.
