Bars & Melody were a rapper and singer from AGT: The Champions 2. They were eliminated in the Preliminaries.
Background[]
Bars & Melody comprises of Leondre "Bars" Devries and Charlie "Melody" Linehan. They first competed on Britain's Got Talent in 2014, receiving a Golden Buzzer from Simon Cowell, and finishing in 3rd place. In 2019, they returned to Britain's Got Talent: The Champions, finishing in the Finals.
Bars and Melody's first single, Hopeful, peaked at #5 in the Official Singles Chart. Their second and third singles, 'Keep Smiling' and 'Stay Strong' peaked at #52 and #53 respectively, whilst their debut album, 143, peaked at #4 on the Official Albums Chart - however, it dropped out of the Top 100 the week after. Their second album, 'Teen Spirit', was released in September 2014 and peaked at #49, whilst their third album, 'Generation Z', released in September 2017, peaked at #83.
The Champions 2 Preliminary[]
Bars and Melody's Preliminary performance in Episode TC204 consisted of singing and rapping their original song "Lighthouse". Howie Mandel buzzed the act. They did not receive enough votes from the Superfans to advance to the Semifinals, eliminating them from the competition along with Connie Talbot instead of Sandou Trio Russian Bar.
