Ben Trigger was a burlesque dancer from Season 14 of America's Got Talent. He was eliminated in the Judge Cuts.
Background[]
Ben Trigger, also known as "Trigger Happy," is a 25-year-old travel agent from Brisbane, Australia. He has been in the musical theatre and dance world both professionally and in amateur productions for over 12 years.
Ben Trigger holds an ATCL in musical theatre from London Trinity College Australia. He has also trained extensively in CSTD tap and jazz as well as FATD ballet. However, Trigger’s main passion still lies in musical theatre.
Trigger's dream was to be on Broadway before he badly dislocated his knee when he was 18.[1]
Audition[]
Ben Trigger's audition in Episode 1405 consisted of burlesque dancing and stripping to Earth, Wind & Fire's "Boogie Wonderland". After the performance, Ben lay down on the Golden Buzzer, after which he ran back on stage and allowed the confetti to fall on him. The Golden Buzzer did not count, but Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union, Julianne Hough, and Simon Cowell all voted "Yes," sending Ben to the Judge Cuts.
Judge Cuts[]
Ben Trigger's Judge Cuts performance in Episode 1410 consisted of dancing a contemporary dance routine to Madilyn Bailey's cover of "Titanium." He then changed into a more revealing outfit, and danced to Tina Turner's "Proud Mary." The routine ended with him once again lying down on the Golden Buzzer, which did not count. His performance was not strong enough to advance to the Quarterfinals, eliminating him from the competition along with Dominguez Poodles and DM Nation.
