Blake Vogt was a magician from Season 11 of America's Got Talent. He was eliminated in the Semifinals.

Background[]

Blake Vogt is one of the most respected magicians in the world, he has created magic for David Copperfield, David Blaine, Dynamo, and many other top magicians all over the world. Blake has performed his unique brand of magic all over the world for crowds ranging from 20 people to 2,000 people. His style of magic is fun and goofy and he always tries to make you smile whether its with a funny "trick" or a "friggin" miracle. Blake currently resides in Los Angeles, CA and is staying busy creatively consulting for live theatre, musicians, television, and movies. He is also regularly performing his brand of off-the-wall magic for private events and functions all over the world. [1]

The only thing you won't see Blake do is pull a rabbit out of a hat due to his allergies towards them. [2]

In August 2015, Blake appeared on an episode of the Second season of Penn & Teller: Fool Us as a soloist, but did not fool the pair.

Audition[]

Blake Vogt's audition was never televised, but it consisted of guessing several audience members' severe allergies, including Heidi Klum's. Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi, and Simon Cowell all voted "Yes," sending Blake to the Judge Cuts.

Judge Cuts[]

Blake Vogt's Judge Cuts performance in Episode 1109 consisted of inviting the judges to bring a one-dollar bill and hundred-dollar bill. Next, he had judges sign the bills and rip off the corners. Then, Blake appeared to swallow those corners. Finally, he licked the torn corners of the bills and then revealed the corners of the two bills having been switched. Howie Mandel and guest judge George Lopez gave him standing ovations. Blake's performance was strong enough for the judges to send him to the Quarterfinals instead of Al Ducharme and Ilan & Josh.

Quarterfinals[]

Blake Vogt's Week 3 Quarterfinals performance in Episode 1115 consisted of a large crate being suspended in the air. Next, Blake invited a random woman from the audience to select another woman in the audience. The second woman then picked a random bird (a blue jay). From the box dropped an egg. Next, Blake invited the judges to narrow down a card from the deck (queen of diamonds). Next, Blake revealed the card to be inside the egg. Finally, Blake revealed to crate, opened up, to contain the word "Blue Jay" and blue feathers. Blake received enough votes to be sent to the Semifinals in Episode 1116 instead of The Passing Zone.

Semifinals[]

Blake Vogt's Week 1 Semifinals performance in Episode 1117 consisted of introducing his fiancé and their debate over whether invisibility or flight was the better ability. First, Blake ripped the corner off of a playing card, made it seem "invisible", and then had it "fly" into a separate box. Next, Blake stood on an elevating scissor lift and appeared to take off his clothes. He imitated invisibility by wearing a camouflage costume in front of a brick wall background. Finally, Blake appeared yards away in the balcony with his fiancé and still wearing the camouflage costume, as if he had flown. Blake did not receive enough votes to be sent to the Finals in Episode 1118, eliminating him from the competition along with Deadly Games, instead of Jon Dorenbos.

After The Show[]

Blake Vogt played an online magic instructor in the 2018 film Ant-Man and the Wasp.

In August 2019, Blake appeared on an episode of the Sixth season of Penn & Teller: Fool Us alongside his partner Jana, but the duo did not fool the pair.

Blake also appeared in a compilation of magicians at the beginning of the film Magic Camp released on Disney+ on August 14, 2020.

In 2020, Blake competed on the Italian competition series Tu Si Que Vales where he was eliminated in the preliminary round.

In 2024, Blake appeared on an episode of the Tenth season of Penn & Teller: Fool Us as a soloist in which he did not fool the duo. He appeared again the following season in a 2025 episode in which he yet again failed to fool the duo.
