Also I like Tyler so I am happy he got as far as he did.
Speaking of "obvious frontrunners," the winner was once again an act who competed on the most recent season of America's Got Talent. Last year was Shin Lim, the winner of season 13; and this year was V.Unbeatable, the fourth place finishers on season 14.
At least for Britain's Got Talent: The Champions, the winners, Twist and Pulse, were the runners-up on series 4, back in 2010, overcoming acts from the most recently concluded season like Colin Thackery and Ben Hart. It is interesting to note that neither Colin nor Ben advanced past the preliminaries that season.
If a third American season happens in the future, I really hope that it does not become a trend.
Please don't have a third American champions next year. Please.
Other than this, I'm glad V.Unbeatable, one of the obvious frontrunners won. They, along with Marcelito (another frontrunner) are the only ones I felt deserve to win, so I think it's good a frontrunner won. if someone else won, even if it was surprising, I doubt they'd be deserving. Maybe Silhouettes or Angelina, but surprisingly they didn't make top five.
I may also point out another trend. Both champions the top two were an act from the previous season and the season before. Champions 1 came after 13, and the top two were an act from 13 and an act from 12. In champions 2, which came after 14, the acts were an act from 14 and an act from 13. In champions 1, however, both top two were winners of seasons, but in champions 2, none of the two were, and Duo Transcend didn't even make top five in Season 13, and I'm going to say again I was shocked they placed top five, let alone second place! And in both champions, the act from the most previous season won, so there's an obvious recency bias with this, which is sort of flawed.
More trends: the highest placing foreign acts in both champions also placed relatively close to each other (Kseniya in third, Marcelito in fourth [though I was surprised a little both that he came so high and I was also surprised he didn't come higher {everybody knows I love Marcelito }].) That was a rather stupid inner parentheses series.
All in all, there are such parallels between this season of Champions and the first Champions.
Stopping by to say; V.Unbeatable absolutely deserved the win, good for the other acrobats for doing so well, and some of the comments in regards to Marcelito not winning are incredibly overblown.
Marcelito has been officially cited to have accepted his fourth place finish with humble pride.
Knowing that he is happy to have been a finalist at all, can some of his fans stop being so toxic, please?
Happy with the results. It was a bit predictable, but V.Unbeatable deserved the win and they are even better than The Kings from World of Dance imo. Duo Transcend placing so high was a big surprise and I would've probably taken Angelina or Silhouttes over Tyler but otherwise I'm happy.

Does this means Terry is returning in S15? If it is then I'm happy.
I thought it was confirmed he is already, but perhaps I'm wrong
I'm actually pleased with the outcome. It seems the general consesus with fans and viewers is that this was a bad season but V.Unbeatable were deserving winners.
I'm happy with V.Unbeatable winning. I thought there was also something satisfying about seeing V.Unbeatable and Duo Transcend as the top 2 finalists as both hadn't won before and it really did feel like a second chance to me, in comparison to Shin Lim and Darci Lynne aa the top two finalists in Champions Season 1 who had only recently won before.
I was pleasantly surprised at Marcelito making the top 4. I would've preferred he made the top 3, but spoilers I read said he finished in 5th place and also didn't say Ben Blaque got buzzed out.
I think Marcelito should be proud of himself as a non native AGT act making it that far. And I think his fans should be pleased as well, and at least he's had successful performances and had the exposure in America.
