one last thing, WOULD SOMEONE EDIT THIS EPISODE'S PAGE?! BEN'S GOLDEN BUZZER DOES NOT COUNT!
I added a Trivia section at the bottom for this exact reason
Here is mine:
Sideshow Opera: The were alright. Didn't make me impressed, I want to see something more.
Izzy and Easton: I like them more because they are kids but, I wonder what they are going to do to step it up.
Lamont Lauders: Hated that 1 hour, which it felt like, and that horrible attitude made me want to turn to the next channel and his voice didn't really excite me.
Ndlovu Youth Choir: I enjoyed it because it didn't make me fall asleep and the vocals were good.
IDEGO: I personally would've said no but, they had a cool concept, just something I dont see will be headlining in Vegas.
Emmane Besha: Of course gives off Laura Bretan vibes, just another act in my opinion.
Lukas & Falco: Sara & Hero vibes and I enjoyed them but, I don't think they will dethrown them two anytime soon.
Verba: My golden buzzer if I was a judge. Phenomonal. Hope they go far.
Trigger Happy: I am not sure if the buzzer was part of his act but, it was fine.
Overall, wasted an hour on fodder but standouts are Ndlovu Youth Choir, Verba, and Lukas & Falco.
Auditons 5 Thoughts:
1. Sideshow Opera - I thought that was a really bad act. The singing wasn't that great, and the knife throwing was unexciting compared to similar acts such as Deadly Games and Gomonov. They will need to step it up a ton in Judge Cuts to have a shot at making it through.
2. Izzy & Easton - I do not like kid dancers that just do a "fun" dance, such as Artyon & Paige's quarterfinals. And the vast majority of kid dancers fall under this category. However, Izzy & Easton actually had a routine that is unique in terms of kid dance on AGT. I thought that was very good, and hopefully they stick to the same theme throughout the show.
3. Lamont Landers - I thought he was bad the first time. He was alright the second time. I also thought that he was annoying. I agree with everyone else that this was a waste of two segments where we could have a good act, especially if he doesn't make the live shows.
Side note - Scandinavian Boards was barely shown in this montage (it showed their act getting set up and them performing sped up). Idk if they should be put in the rejected acts list or not, because idk if that counts as even being montaged. (they got three no's from Simon, Julianne, and Gabrielle, and Howie said yes. I saw them perform at the auditions)
4. Ndlovu Youth Choir - I think that they are an amazing choir. I would say they are the best choir out of the four in this season and last season. I hope it does not get repetitive though. I think they will be able to step it up next round. I look forward to seeing them perform again.
5. IDEGO - That was pretty funny. I don't think it was amazing, but it was a cool one time act. If they are actually shown in judge cuts then I will be curious to see if they can step it up.
6. Emanne Beasha - She is a pretty good opera singer. I didn't think it was absolutely amazing, but she is very good, and will probably end up making Finals. One of the best acts still in this horrible episode. I could see her getting the GB in Judge Cuts.
7. Lukas & Falco - I didn't think that was very good. It was pretty repetitive, and there were no super cool tricks. Hopefully they can step it up in later rounds and not just do the same thing over and over again. I think the Dominguez Poodles were better.
8. VERBA - That was an amazing performance. I think either them or Kodi Lee will end up winning this season (probably Kodi Lee). As long as they stick to emotional performances, I think America will love them and they will easily make it to the end of the competition. I would say that this was the best audition of the season. Another possible Judge Cuts Golden Buzzer.
9. Ben Trigger - That was a funny performance. I am very surprised that he did not get buzzed, though. I wish that golden buzzer counted because he has no chance of making the live shows on his own, but acts could obviously use that to their advantage in future seasons.
This was a very bad episode, and I would say there were only three or four good acts. Hopefully Auditions 6 is better.
Also another thing to note in Lamont's montage is that I saw Kung Fu Boys - the ones shown in the preview in the orange that were bouncing across the beams on their heads - and Simon buzzed them. I'm guessing they didn't get through either.
This show is fucking stupid. The only decent judge says yes to an act just as good, if not better, than an act last year that most likely got 4 yesses and was in the judge cuts. I don't even know if I even want to continue with this season. This show is getting ridiculously awful.
Simon said no, everyone else said yes (I saw them live)
Acts I'm hoping are in the last episode:
-Alex Dowis
-Chris Klafford
-Dakota and Nadia
-Darrius Simmons
-Duo Togni
-Dylan Gilmer
-Gonzo
-Lotus Cole
-Luke Islam
-Piotr and Marisa
-Revolution Queens
-Robert Finley
-The Sentimentalists
-TBA (Dynamite Act)
There's the updated tier list!
