America's Got Talent Wiki

Boogie Storm were a dance group from AGT: The Champions 2. They finished in the Bottom 5 of the Top 10.

Background[]

Boogie Storm competed on Season 10 of Britain's Got Talent, where they received Simon Cowell's Golden Buzzer and finished in 3rd place. They then competed on Britain's Got Talent: The Champions in 2019, being eliminated in the Preliminaries after finishing their night in the Top 2.

After their appearance on BGT, it was revealed by the Liverpool Metro that the group was formed by Lee Seddon, a Liverpool firefighter. He recruited dancers from a dance studio in Liverpool called Jelli Studios, which is owned by Jennifer Ellison from Brookside fame.

In 2017, they auditioned for the twelfth season of France's Got Talent. It is unknown if their performance was ever shown, but they were eliminated in the Judge Cuts.

The Champions 2 Preliminary[]

Boogie Storm's Preliminary performance in Episode TC202 consisted of performing a dance routine to a medley of "Bang Bang", "Milkshake", "Jump", "Pretty Fly for a White Guy" and "Boogie Wonderland". Simon Cowell gave them a standing ovation. When Howie Mandel refused pleas from Simon to give them the Golden Buzzer, Simon pressed it for himself, stealing Howie's opportunity and sending them directly to the Finals.

The Champions 2 Final[]

Boogie Storm's Final performance in Episode TC206 consisted of performing a dance routine to a medley of songs including "Party Up" and "Old Town Road".  Howie Mandel buzzed the act (likely as retaliation for Simon stealing his Golden Buzzer in the preliminary round) but Alesha Dixon, Heidi Klum and Simon Cowell gave them standing ovations.

The Champions 2 Finale[]

In Episode TC207, Boogie Storm participated in a mash-up act with Duo TranscendMarcelito Pomoy and Sandou Trio Russian Bar, introduced by Hans. They did not receive enough votes from the Superfans to enter the Top 5, eliminating them from the competition instead of Duo Transcend.

Trivia[]

  • Boogie Storm is among a group of acts that received a Golden Buzzer on both AGT and an international version of the Got Talent franchise (even though in their case, one of the Golden Buzzers they received were from a spin-off version of AGT).
  • Boogie Storm was the first Golden Buzzer act to be buzzed in a subsequent round in the same season. They were followed by Schumacher in Season 19.
  • They are first act to be buzzed in a final since West Springfield Dance Team in Season 6.

After The Show[]

In 2023, Boogie Storm auditioned for Spain's Got Talent: All-Stars but did not advance to the final.
