Britt Saasen was a singer from Season 12 of America's Got Talent. She was eliminated in the Judge Cuts.

Background[]

The three most important things throughout Britt Saasen's life have consistently been God, her family, and her music. She grew up in a small town and in a growing church where she learned, through many hardships, that nothing is stronger than family. Her heart has always been with them and they have been the foundation and growing force that has helped shaped her into who she is today.

At a very young age, God instilled a passion for music within Britt that was ever-increasing as she got older. Like with most musicians, it became like breathing for her. In every moment in her life, whether it be the difficult or the happy times, she turns to music. When she was younger, it was a very private thing for her. Her lyrics and emotions behind her music stayed locked within a journal, only to make the occasional private appearance for the shower. As she got older, she felt God had placed a calling on her life to share what He had given her with other people who had the same experiences that she had written about. Through the overcoming of a lot of her fears, she grew a new passion- reaching the world through her music. [1]

Audition[]

Britt Saasen's audition was not televised, but it consisted of singing Ed Sheeran's "I See Fire" as her main song in which she played her guitar, and a second song, The Band Perry's "If I Die Young". All four judges voted "Yes," sending Britt to the Judge Cuts round. [2]

Judge Cuts[]

Britt Saasen's Judge Cuts performance in Episode 1210 consisted of singing Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams". Britt's performance was not strong enough for the judges to send her to the Quarterfinals, eliminating her from the competition instead of Kechi Okwuchi.
