Cam Hodges was a singer and guitarist from Season 5 of America's Got Talent. He was eliminated in the Quarterfinals.
Background[]
Cam Hodges is from Sammamish, Washington. His dad got him into music at an early age, first teaching him how to play the trumpet. His interest did not last, and eventually he learned to play the guitar. When he first started singing, he was afraid to let anybody hear him live. He would just let his friends hear recordings of him.
Audition[]
Cam Hodges submitted his audition onto YouTube. The audition consisted of singing "Break Your Heart" while playing the guitar. His audition was strong enough for the judges to send him to the Quarterfinals along with eleven other YouTube Acts.
Quarterfinals[]
Cam Hodges's Quarterfinals performance in Episode 521 consisted of singing "Break Your Heart" while playing the guitar. He finished in either fourth or fifth place in America's Vote. In the Judges' Choice, although Howie Mandel voted for him, Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne both decided not to send him to the Semifinals, eliminating him from the competition in Episode 522 instead of Kristina Young.
