Caroline Baran was born in Chicago, but her roots are purely Polish. She was a vocalist of Caroline & The Priority as well as singer and bass player of Profusion. She also performed acoustically with a young, talented guitarist – Daniel Jonak. Caroline currently takes vocal lessons with Jade Maze . Jade has taught Caroline the importance of singing and how to become a better artist. A few weeks ago, Caroline started playing with amazing musicians from Chicago. The group was founded by a drummer – Glover Washington . The band consits of Kenn Smith (bass), Robert Burks (guitar), Derwin Davis (keyboard). Their first performance with be at this years Jazz All Souls’ Day in the Chopin Theatre. Being around such talented people will definitely help Caroline become a better musician and help her grow musically.
Caroline despite the young age, has already won many awards at various competitions and festivals in the USA, Poland, UK, and Ireland. She was awarded Artist of the Year Award 2014 and 2015 in Chicago by Wietrzne Radio, PolskiFm. She participated at the Shot Summer Camp College Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA three times. In 2014, 2015 she graduated from the vocal class, and in 2016 graduated the Independent Artist Program.
Two years in a row, Caroline visited Poland along with her bandmates where they participated in the IV Festival for Christopher Klenczon in Pultusk. July 2016, Caroline took part in the International Jazz Workshop in Pulawy. She was mentored by great jazz musicians, including her vocal teacher dr. hab. Janusz Szrom .
In 2015, Caroline got “honorably mentioned” by Postmodern Jukebox. She was able to record a song with the band in Los Angeles. They recorded the song, “Time After Time” in a new arrangement. The video was released late April 2016. 
Caroline Baran did not perform in the Judge Cuts round, meaning she either withdrew or was cut by the judges before this stage of the competition.
