Charity Lockhart won $1k in an Arizonan competition whilst living in her car with her kids after her divorce from her husband, with this event serving as the springboard towards her journey as an artist. From there Charity Lockheart created an Aretha Franklin Tribute which gained the approval of not only Detroit but of The Franklin Family too. Charity Lockhart is perhaps best known as the first headlining artist on the Celebrity Edge Cruise launched in 2021. Over the years her show became one of the best received acts on the cruise and by 2023 she was named Cruise Entertainer of the Year. Since then she has worked with numerous producers and song writers of Aretha Franklin recordings, recorded a range of TV, Movie, Commercial and Soundtrack recordings with Warner Brothers and worked alongside several arts who acquired worldwide fame and acclaim in the process.
Charity Lockhart’s performances are not limited to cruise lines, however, as she has sold out venues in Osaka, Kyoto, Caesars Palace, Wild Horse Pass Casino, Cleveland Playhouse, Las Vegas, Jazz Festival and Parx Casino to name but a few. Her motivational storytelling of her past struggles before her performances is enough to tug at the heartstrings of the audience. Charity Lockhart has also won numerous awards from Ronald McDonald House and is known for collaborating with organizations, students and families of homelessness and abuse so as to provide them with the right tools to improve their lives in the future. When Charity Lockhart bought her first family home in Ohio, she dedicated the property to support with the efforts of raising money so as to help others escape homelessness and abusive relationships.

Charity Lockhart's performance in Episode 2003 consisted of singing Judy Garland's "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" without accompaniment. Partway through the performance, Simon stopped her and asked if she had another song prepared. Her second chance performance consisted of singing The Beatles’ "Golden Slumbers". Impressed with her performance, Mel B hit the Golden Buzzer, sending her directly to the live shows.
