Da Maniacs, known as The Mavs ManiAACs, are an original male-performance squad in the NBA, have already performed more than nine full seasons as the hip-hop dance troupe of beefy men who entertain Mavs fans during home games. Captains for the Mavs ManiAACs are Rob "Big Rob' Maiden and Kendal "Crazy K" Davis.
The ManiAACs, originally created to enhance the game experience for fans during the 2002 playoffs, became instant fan favorites that have continued to add to the festive environment of Mavs games and other special events including 2 AllStar performances ~ in 2005 and in 2010. The Mavs ManiAACs have also appeared nationally on "The Tonight Show" and "The Best Damn Sport Show Period."
The ManiAACs are active in the community, making numerous public appearances throughout the Metroplex. They are sponsored by Genghis Grill, the Mongolian Stir Fry, and by Elevation Fitness Club. 1
Da Maniacs' audition in Episode 510 consisted of dancing to a song about "maniacs" as well as "Imma Be." Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne, and Howie Mandel all voted "Yes," sending the group to the Vegas Round.
Da Maniacs' Quarterfinals performance in Episode 519 consisted of dancing to "Soul Man" and "U Can't Touch This." Piers Morgan buzzed the act. It did not receive enough votes to finish in at least fourth or fifth place in America's Vote, eliminating it from the competition in Episode 520 along with Lindsey Stirling, instead of Taylor Mathews.
