Dakota Striplin was a singer and guitarist from Season 12 of America's Got Talent. He was eliminated in the Judge Cuts.

Dakota Striplin was born in New Zealand. He has performed professionally as a musician for more than 5 years. His shows have ranged from local restaurants to professional musicals and live TV broadcasts. In 2011, Striplin competed on the fifth season of Australia's Got Talent.[1]
Audition[]
Dakota Striplin's audition was never televised, but it consisted of singing "You're the One That I Want" from Grease. It is unknown whether or not he was buzzed, but Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell voted "Yes," sending Dakota to the Judge Cuts round.
Judge Cuts[]
Dakota Striplin's Judge Cuts performance in Episode 1208 consisted of singing Elvis Presley's "I Can't Help Falling in Love With You" while playing the guitar. Dakota's performance was not strong enough for the judges to send him to the Quarterfinals, eliminating him from the competition along with Sammulous, instead of Puddles Pity Party.
After the Show[]
Dakota auditioned for the eighth season of The Voice Australia, joining Kelly Rowland's team.
