Dani Kerr was a singer from Season 18 of America's Got Talent. She was eliminated in the Semifinals.
Background[]
Dani is a singer-songwriter from Statesville, North Carolina. She recently released an EP titled Honky Tonk Hippie: Side One.
Dani has loved music her whole life, learning to play and write her own material at a young age. She stated that she never had the courage, however, to perform in public before she was seventeen, about six years before her AGT audition. She elaborated that when she was a little kid, she never believed she would "even have the courage to sing in front of one person" and as such it was "so crazy and a dream come true" for her to be performing on the show.
Audition[]
Dani Kerr's audition in Episode 1804 consisted of singing her original song "You Can't Live Here No More". Partway through the song, Simon Cowell stopped her, asking if she had brought another song with her. She then sang another original song called "November". All four judges voted "Yes", sending her to the next round unanimously.
Deliberations[]
Dani was chosen to advance to the Semifinals.
Semifinals[]
Dani Kerr's Semifinals performance consisted of singing her original song "The Truth". She did not receive enough votes to enter the top 5 of the night in Episode 1813, eliminating her from the competition instead of Chioma & The Atlanta Drum Academy.
