David Ferman was a juggler from Season 8 of America's Got Talent. He was eliminated in the Quarterfinals.
Background[]
David's dream of becoming an entertainer began at age eight when he volunteered to participate in a comedy juggling show while on a cruise vacation with this family. Hearing the audience's laughter and applause sparked his imagination and led him on a journey that would eventually see him win a world championship title and set the world record for most balls ever juggled by age seventeen.
Today, David combines his amazing juggling skills with comedy and death-defying stunts to deliver fast-paced and electrifying presentations. [1]
Audition[]
David Ferman's audition in Episode 805 consisted of juggling seven balls (catching one on his back) and balancing a Molotov cocktail (an incendiary weapon that if dropped onto the stage would produce a 500°C, 7-foot wide fireball) on top of a balloon balanced on top of a stick being held between David's teeth. Howard Stern, Heidi Klum, Mel B, and Howie Mandel all voted "Yes," sending David to the Vegas Round.
Vegas Round[]
David Ferman was sorted into the "Danger Acts" category in the Vegas Round. His performance in Episode 808 consisted of juggling three 500,000 volt stunguns on top of a six-foot unicycle as 50 stunguns were on in a circle around him. His performance was strong enough for the judges to send him to the Quarterfinals along with Red Panda in Episode 809.
Quarterfinals[]
David Ferman's Week 4 Quarterfinals performance in Episode 816 consisted of juggling three flaming balls with his hands while suspended upside-down over a 55-gallon drum of gas. Touchpad sensors attached to his palms transmitted signals to a computer raising the drum. He completed 50 catches in less than 15 seconds. The judges claimed that David lacked showmanship despite having great talent. David did not receive enough votes to be sent to the Semifinals in Episode 817, eliminating him from the competition along with SensEtion, The Robotix, and Tummy Talk.
