|Age (at audition)||26|
Dom Chambers was first introduced to the world of magic when he was six years old by his grandad. Twenty years later, Dom now travels the world with his modern take on the art form. Ditching the suit and bunny for Siri and beer, Dom is taking magic to an entirely new territory and can't wait to show America, and the world, what he has to offer. His social media videos have had over 20 million views across platforms to date, and he once led a team of magicians in an 85-hour-long magic show to raise money for charity.
Dom appeared on Penn & Teller: Fool Us in the 2018 season premiere.
Dom Chambers' audition in Episode 1403 consisted of pulling out glasses of beer from a seemingly empty paper bag as well as his shoe and jacket. He also made an entire bottle of wine appear out of thin air. Howie Mandel, Julianne Hough, Gabrielle Union, and Simon Cowell all voted "Yes," sending Dom to the Judge Cuts.
Dom Chambers' Judge Cuts performance in Episode 1408 consisted of pouring cocktails from an iPhone and making a card appear out of thin air. Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union, Julianne Hough, Simon Cowell, and guest judge Dwyane Wade all gave him standing ovations. His performance was strong enough to advance to the Quarterfinals on a unanimous verdict.
Dom Chambers' Quarterfinals performance in Episode 1415 consisted of performing an interactive magic trick. 12 different images of him on a screen each held up a card with a photo of a different AGT star. Using clues Terry Crews chose, the audience pointed to each star via the clues, imagining a bolt of energy coming out towards the final choice (Tape Face). Those who had the same choice all stood up minus Simon, whom Dom predicted wouldn't stand up. All the images on the screen flipped their cards to reveal a giant version of the Tape Face card, again which Dom correctly predicted the audience would choose, eventually revealing Tape Face himself. Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union, Julianne Hough and Simon Cowell all gave him standing ovations. Dom received enough votes to advance to the Semifinals in Episode 1416 along with Eric Chien instead of Matthew Richardson.
Dom Chambers' Semifinals performance in Episode 1419 consisted of first making bottles in a case of beer disappear, followed by making the liquid in a mug vanish. He then had Simon predict how many bottles went into a giant glass of beer (which was eventually correct) before making the beer disappear. Simon Cowell gave him a standing ovation. Dom did not receive enough votes to advance to the Finals in Episode 1420, eliminating him from the competition along with Chris Kläfford instead of V.Unbeatable.
