Dorothy Bishop has made solo appearances include Carnegie Hall with The New York Pops, Joes Pub at the Public Theater, Lincoln Center at Alice Tulley Hall, The Bon Soir, Town Hall, Klub Kazino, Roseland Ballroom, The Triad Theater, The Grammercy Theater, and most recently, her weekly show "Dozen Divas" at the Metropolitan room where she is a monthly featured artist.
Dorothy graduated from Yale University School of Music. She toured with Faye Dunaway in the first Broadway National Tour of Terrence McNally's Tony Award Winning Show Master Class, and was guest soloist wtih Skitch Henderson and the New York Pops at Carnegie Hall.
One day at an opera audition, the casting director marveled at her resemblance to Sarah Palin. Dorothy spent the next 3 years working as a Sarah Palin impersonator, and also performing her pop opera headline show on the luxury ships including the Queen Mary 2, The QE2, and Regent Seven Seas. In addition to seeing the world and singing with some of the top bands and entertainers, Dorothy was featured on CNN, Good Morning America, and ABC for her hilarious coverage of Occupy Wall Street as "Sarah Palin". Dorothy Bishop's audition in Episode 407 consisted of singing "Carmen." Piers Morgan and David Hasselhoff both buzzed the act. Piers, Sharon Osbourne, and David all voted "No", eliminating Dorothy from the competition.
