Eduardo Antonio Treviño was a mariachi singer from Season 18 of America's Got Talent. He finished in the Top 5 of his Semifinal week.

Background[]

Eduardo hails from Mexico however resides in Houston, Texas. He has been a mariachi soloist since he was three years old and idolises Vincente Fernandez, who Eduardo describes as one of the best mariachi singers. Eduardo began performing as a mariachi singer as his great-grandfather recorded music in 1926 but had to give up on his dream as he wasn’t earning enough money from it.

Audition[]

Eduardo Antonio Treviño’s audition in Episode 1809 consisted of performing ‘La Charreada’ whilst accompanied by a mariachi band which consisted of a drummer, violinists and trumpet players. All 4 judges voted "Yes", sending him to the next round.

Deliberations[]

Eduardo was chosen to advance to the Semifinals.

Semifinals[]

Eduardo Antonio Treviño's Semifinals performance in Episode 1818 consisted of singing "Remember Me" from the Disney movie Coco. Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara and Simon Cowell all gave him standing ovations. He received enough votes to enter the top 5 of the night in Episode 1819 instead of Grace Good, but did not receive enough votes to enter the top 3, eliminating him from the competition along with Avantgardey instead of 82nd Airborne Chorus, Ramadhani Brothers and Gabriel Henrique.


Trivia[]

  • Eduardo is the only non-Golden Buzzer accepted act from his audition episode to make it to the live shows.
