Eleisha Miller was a singer and pianist from Season 4 of America's Got Talent. She was eliminated in the Quarterfinals.
Background[]
Eleisha Miller is from Amarillo, Texas. Originally born in San Antonio, she considers herself a Texan through and through. From an early age (1 year) Eleisha has been singing and making up songs. By age 4 (2004), she started playing the piano and taking Suzuki piano lessons. By age 6 (2006),she started sight reading music and learning piano theory, timing, and personal discipline in practice. Her mother is a classical pianist and piano teacher and her father plays piano and guitar by ear. She loves music with a passion and sings, dances, and plays on stage with the musical rhythm that beats within her.
To facilitate practices and local shows, Eleisha began homeschooling at age 7 (2nd grade). Eleisha’s busy schedule outside of shows typically includes vocal lessons, 3 acting/coaching classes, and various dance classes (not to mention piano and guitar lessons). Her schedule only changes if she realizes she is not enjoying the experience in exchange for the time she gives. Her theater accomplishments include musical productions she has been in: Bearly a Bear (Bear Cub), A Christmas Carol (Anderson Kid), Seussical the Musical (principal character Jo Jo), Annie (Molly), and The Music Man(Ensemble). She has also appeared in 2 plays: The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (Gladys Herdman) and The Little Princess (Student). Whether the audience is large or small Eleisha feels “at home” on the stage.
Eleisha made her TV debut on a local station at age 6 when she won the chance to appear as a weather forecaster on a “Kids Cast” program. It was at this point she knew she truly loved to entertain and make people laugh. Her insatiable desire to search out the next level led her to auditions in Houston, Texas for America's Got Talent. If she won a million dollars, she would take a trip to Hawaii with her family.
Audition[]
Eleisha Miller's audition in Episode 406 consisted of singing Tina Turner's "Proud Mary" while playing the piano. Although Sharon Osbourne voted "No," Piers Morgan and David Hasselhoff both voted "Yes", sending Eleisha to the Vegas Round.
Vegas Round[]
Eleisha Miller appeared without performing in the Vegas Round. Her audition was strong enough for the judges to send her to the Quarterfinals in Episode 412.
Quarterfinals[]
Eleisha Miller's Quarterfinals performance in Episode 415 consisted of singing The Kiki Dee Band's "I've Got the Music in Me" and playing the piano. Piers Morgan buzzed the act. Eleisha did not receive enough votes to be sent to the Semifinals, eliminating her from the competition in Episode 416 instead of The Voices of Glory.
