Extreme Dance Company was a dance group from Season 9 of America's Got Talent. It was eliminated in the Quarterfinals.
Background[]
A family is defined by a basic social unit that takes care of one another closely related by blood. Extreme Dance Company has become their blood. They have become a family.
Extreme was founded by Julie Johnson, who choreographs and mentors Extreme's members. Each member was handpicked and brings something different to the team. Extreme is based out of Orlando, Florida yet some travel hours just to practice every day. All the members of Extreme come from different races, cultures, backgrounds, and ages.
What sets Extreme apart from other dance teams is that the tricks are just as important as the choreography. It's about taking what they know and pushing it to the extreme, hence the name. If Extreme won the million dollars, they would put it towards buying a dance studio where kids and adults could come not only to dance but to learn that their dreams are achievable and within their grasp. 1
Audition[]
Extreme Dance Company's audition in Episode 903 consisted of dancing as a group and performing flips in the air. Howard Stern, Heidi Klum, Mel B, and Howie Mandel all voted "Yes," sending the group to Judgment Week.
Judgment Week[]
Extreme Dance Company was not seen during Judgment Week. Whether it advanced straight to the Quarterfinals or it performed for the judges again is unknown, but nevertheless, it progressed to the Quarterfinals.
Quarterfinals[]
Extreme's Week 4 Quarterfinals performance in Episode 915 consisted of dancing as a group and performing tosses into the air to Group 1 Crew's "Gimme That Funk." The group did not receive enough votes to be sent to the Semifinals, eliminating them from the competition in Episode 916 along with Dom the Bom's Triple Threat, instead of Emil and Dariel.
