Extreme Dance FX's audition in Episode 301 consisted of a dance which involved a combination of clogging and other dance moves. Piers Morgan buzzed the act, although only because he hated their outfits. Nevertheless, Piers, Sharon Osbourne, and David Hasselhoff all voted "Yes", sending the group to the Vegas Round.
Extreme Dance FX was one of the Variety Acts in the Vegas Round. It was sorted into the "Dance" category. The group's performance in Episode 308 was not fully televised, but it consisted of fast synchronous clogging. Extreme Dance FX's audition was strong enough for the judges to include it in the Top 60 shortlist and to later send it to the Top 40 Quarterfinals in Episode 309.
Extreme Dance FX's Part 1 Quarterfinals performance in Episode 310 consisted of clogging as a group to Salt-n-Pepa's "Push It." The group received enough votes to be sent to the Semifinals instead of Ronny B. in Episode 311.
Extreme Dance FX's Part 1 Semifinals performance in Episode 314 consisted of clogging (and briefly jump roping) as group to The Black Eyed Peas' "Let's Get It Started." Extreme Dance FX did not receive enough votes to be sent to the Top 10, eliminating the group from the competition in Episode 316 along with The James Gang.
