Triple Threat was a vocal trio from Season 10 of America's Got Talent. They were eliminated in the Quarterfinals.

Background[]

Triple Threat formed in late 2009 when Caleb Conrad (aka Clib n' Chips), Tyler Davis, and Will Richey met while attending Benton High School in Arkansas. Tyler and Will have been best friends since elementary school and grew up performing as a duet in talent shows and church functions. Caleb also grew up performing, but as a solo singer. The three became friends by way of being injured on their high school football team. They would all stand together and talk during practice, and it didn't take long for the three to find out they had a lot in common. They started hanging out and watching Razorback football on Saturdays, and soon after spending time together, singing was constantly on the agenda. Ever since then, the trio has been performing a song here and a small gig there. Recently, Triple Threat has become serious about their music career. They are all ready to take a step forward in maturing as artists and continuing to do what they have all three always loved to do: sing and perform. [1]

Audition[]

Triple Threat's audition in Episode 1001 consisted of singing MKTO's "Classic." Howard SternHeidi KlumMel B, and Howie Mandel all voted "Yes," sending the trio to the Judge Cuts round.

Judge Cuts[]

Triple Threat's Judge Cuts performance in Episode 1010 consisted of singing Ariana Grande's "Problem" as a group. The trio's performance was strong enough for the judges to send it to the Quarterfinals instead of Haley "Bulletproof" Glass and Pretty Big Movement.

Quarterfinals[]

Triple Threat's Week 1 Quarterfinals performance in Episode 1012 consisted of singing Destiny's Child's "Say My Name" together. Howard Stern, Mel B, and Howie Mandel buzzed the act. Triple Threat did not receive enough votes to be sent to the Semifinals in Episode 1013, eliminating it from the competition instead of Piff the Magic Dragon.

Trivia[]
