Jayna Brown was a singer from Season 11 of America's Got Talent. She was eliminated in the Semifinals.

Background[]

Jayna Elise Brown was born to Tetia Lanae Brown on September 26, 2001. She hails from Maryland. Jayna has been performing since the tender age of four. Jayna is well versed within performing arts and has and had proven her ability in the are of song, dance and acting. Early on her creative nature began to unfold as she quickly learned to play the piano. Jayna has taken piano, dance, voice and acting lessons. With all that Jayna is involved in she understands the importance of education and is maintaining a 4.0 in all her courses. She has full support from her family and friends and truly loves what she does. [1]

Jayne's mom is a single mother. Jayna and her mother moved to Atlanta, but they lost their home there. By the time of their audition, they were "in between houses", staying with a neighbor.

Audition[]

Jayna Brown's audition in Episode 1104 consisted of singing Ella Fitzgerald's "Summertime". Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell all voted "Yes", sending Jayna to the Judge Cuts.

Judge Cuts[]

Jayna Brown's Judge Cuts performance in Episode 1110 consisted of singing Andra Day's "Rise Up". Howie Mandel, Mel B, guest judge Louis Tomlinson, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell all gave her standing ovations. Impressed by the performance, Louis pressed his Golden Buzzer, sending Jayna straight to the Quarterfinals.

Quarterfinals[]

Jayna Brown's Week 1 Quarterfinals performance in Episode 1111 consisted of singing Ed Sheeran's "Make it Rain". Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum gave her standing ovations. Jayna received enough votes to be sent to the Semifinals in Episode 1112 along with Laura Bretan.

Semifinals[]

Jayna Brown's Week 2 Semifinals performance in Episode 1119 consisted of singing Katy Perry's "Rise". Heidi Klum gave her a standing ovation. Jayna did not receive enough votes to be sent to the Finals in Episode 1120, eliminating her from the competition instead of Linkin' Bridge.
