Daniel Emmet is an opera singer from Season 13 of America's Got Talent. He was eliminated in the Judge Cuts, but he returned as a Wild Card in the Quarterfinals. He then finished in the Bottom 5 of the Top 10.

Background[]

Daniel Emmet is gaining rapid notoriety as a rising multilingual star whose voice, once heard, makes you take a step back and catch your breath. He is an artist who can engage audiences with his rich, powerful voice, or woo them with the vocal sensitivity of a warm embrace. No stranger to commanding stages large and small around the country, Daniel has also performed internationally at grand halls and intimate clubs.

Although classically trained, Daniel’s range of musical expression which crosses genres, is remarkable and authentic. Fondly referred to as #opera boy, this multilingual powerhouse has the ability to easily crossover multiple genres that take you on an emotional journey from spellbinding and mesmerizing, upbeat and entertaining, to breathtaking and stunning, leaving you simply wowed!

Driven by his desire to communicate internationally, Daniel has pressed himself to learn to sing in seven languages, and given his unquenchable spirit to continue to grow, it's not likely that he'll stop there. In addition to being a stunning powerhouse vocalist, Daniel is an accomplished composer and lyricist. His love and understanding of music paired with his classical roots gives him a singular gift that can bridge the “high art” of classical music, with the music of the streets.

Daniel understands music’s power to bring people together. He sees it as the living soundtrack of our global experience and has a passion to share the vast global bandwidth of music creation with the rest of us. His perspective has been greatly informed by his global travels. When asked what fuels his passion to share music wherever he goes, his answer is thoughtful and demonstrates his belief in the ability of music to cross all borders.

“For me, music is not only humanity’s only true native tongue - it may be our best hope to ultimately recognize our own humanity in others. I don’t want to be quarantined with only those I know, and disconnected from those I don’t. I want to share my love of music in all its forms, in hopes of reminding us all of what bonds us together instead of what separates us.” - Daniel Emmet [1]

Daniel previously auditioned, untelevised, for Season 6 of AGT. He made it past the auditions but did not perform in Vegas.

Daniel also made two appearances on The Wendy Williams Show in December 2012. On the December 17th episode he performed a tribute to the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting [2][3]
