Roberta Battaglia is a singer from Season 15 of America's Got Talent. She finished the competition in 4th place.

Background[]

Roberta Battaglia is a dynamic, up-and-coming 10-year-old vocalist from Toronto, Canada. Born on August 22, 2009 to a musical family, Roberta began her singing career at the age of 3, alongside her father, Alessandro Battaglia. Together, the duo has graced many stages - from local community performances to galas and noted charity events. A second-generation Italian Canadian, Roberta is fluent in both English and Italian and performs a diverse repertoire of music in both languages, ranging from ballads and Top 40 hits to high-octane pop.

She has studied her craft via academy singing instruction and has already contributed to commercial productions, while receiving recognition in competitions such as first runner up at CNE Rising Star. Her special independent appearances include a performance at ideaCity, presented by television mogul Moses Znaimer, as well as Toronto's Breakfast Television, where her rendition of Lady Gaga's "Shallow" resulted in over 2 million views in only two weeks.

Roberta recently launched her own charitable initiative designing bracelets, with 100 percent of the sales going to Toronto's world-renowned SickKids hospital.

Audition[]

Roberta Battaglia's audition in Episode 1502 consisted of singing Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's "Shallow".  Impressed by her performance, Sofia Vergara pressed her Golden Buzzer, sending Roberta directly to the Quarterfinals.

Quarterfinals[]

Roberta Battaglia's Quarterfinals performance in Episode 1509 consisted of singing Lauren Daigle's "You Say". Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara and guest judge Kelly Clarkson all gave her standing ovations. Roberta received enough votes to advance to the Semifinals in Episode 1510 instead of Pork Chop Revue and Simon and Maria.

Semifinals[]

Roberta Battaglia's Semifinals performance in Episode 1517 consisted of singing Pink's "What About Us". Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara all gave her standing ovations.  Roberta received enough votes to advance to the Finals in Episode 1518 instead of Shaquira McGrath.

Finals[]

Roberta Battaglia's Finals performance in Episode 1521 consisted of singing Alessia Cara's "Scars to Your Beautiful". Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara all gave her standing ovations.

Finale[]

For the finale in Episode 1522, Roberta Battaglia sang "If The World Was Ending" along with Kenadi Dodds, and the celebrity guests JP Saxe and Julia Michaels.  She received enough votes to enter the Top 5 instead of Kenadi Dodds.  Roberta finished the competition in 4th place, ahead of Alan Silva but behind Brandon Leake, Broken Roots and Cristina Rae.

After the Show[]

Roberta took part in Ross Petty's 2020 holiday production "There's No Place Like Home... for the Holidays" in her hometown of Toronto. Due to the pandemic, the production was recorded virtually.

  • Roberta is the only act to make the top 5 of Season 15 who recieved a standing ovation from all of the judges every time she performed.
