Benicio Bryant was a singer from Season 14 of America's Got Talent. He finished in the Bottom 5 of the Top 10.

Background[]

Benicio Bryant made his television debut performing "The Joke" with Brandi Carlile on Late Night with Seth Meyers in 2018. He also competed on The Voice Kids in Germany the same year where he finished in 2nd place. On his Facebook page, Bryant cites artists like Lady Gaga, Selena, and Sia as his biggest musical influences. He also states that his preferred musical genres are pop, R&B, and soul music. On November 18, 2018, Bryant released his debut single “My Love” on iTunes [1] .

Audition[]

Benicio Bryant's audition in Episode 1402 consisted of singing Brandi Carlile's "The Joke". Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union, Julianne Hough, and Simon Cowell all voted "Yes", sending him to the Judge Cuts.

Judge Cuts[]

Benicio Bryant's Judge Cuts performance in Episode 1410 consisted of performing an original song "Here Goes Nothing." His performance was strong enough to send him to the Quarterfinals instead of Jordan Ravi.

Quarterfinals[]

Benicio Bryant's Quarterfinals performance in Episode 1415 consisted of singing his original song "Who I Am".  Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough gave him standing ovations. Benicio received enough votes to advance to the Semifinals in Episode 1416 instead of MacKenzie.

Semifinals[]

Benicio Bryant's Semifinals performance in Episode 1417 consisted of singing his original song "Fall Apart". Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union, Julianne Hough, Simon Cowell and guest judge Sean Hayes all gave him standing ovations.  Benicio received enough votes to advance to the Finals in Episode 1418 instead of Eric Chien and Ansley Burns.

Finals[]

Benicio Bryant's Finals performance in Episode 1421 consisted of singing an original song titled "Six Strings (Because of You)".  Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union, Julianne Hough and Simon Cowell all gave him standing ovations.

Finale[]

For the finale in Episode 1422, Benicio sang a medley of "Baila Baila Baila" and "Taki Taki" with Ozuna.  He did not receive enough votes to advance to the Top 5, eliminating him from the competition instead of Voices of Service.


After The Show[]

Benicio Bryant later signed a record deal with Arista Records and released more singles: “Ghosted” (featuring 12AM), “Sorry”, “Tangerine”, “Gelato”, “Serious”, “Feels Like”, “Pretty in Pink”, “WHO HURT YOU?”, “I Can’t Dance to This”, “Move to Mars” (with Audrey Mika), “Boys Don’t Cry”, and “Convertible”. Benicio also went on to become a verified Spotify artist, which he has been ever since he released his first single since AGT.
