Freedom Singers was a vocal group from Season 18 of America's Got Talent. They were eliminated in the Semifinals.
Background[]
The Freedom Singers represent the musical wing of arts and culture at Los Angeles Community Action Network (LA CAN), comprised of members of the Skid Row community. This powerful ensemble, comprised of eight singers, breathes new life into the music and traditional sounds of their movements. The Freedom Singers ensemble is a signature statement about arts and culture at LA CAN and provides a platform to shift some of the negative narratives that Skid Row residents face. One of the group’s primary goals is to lift the humanity of unhoused people, and they wish their performance on “America’s Got Talent” will give hope to those living with struggle and change the narrative regarding Skid Row.
Audition[]
