Fresh Faces was a dance group in Season 8 of America's Got Talent. The group was eliminated in the Quarterfinals.

Background[]

Fresh Faces is a dance group of five young girls from Queen Creek and Chandler, Arizona. Brynn Rumfallo, Jaycee Wilkins, Dylynn Jones, Bostyn Brown and Jenna Valenzuela are nine and eleven years old and have been performing together since they were only three. Fresh Faces is trained in every style of dance, including jazz, hip-hop, ballet, musical theater, lyrical, acro and tap. They train at Club Dance in Arizona. They specialize in and are known for their "freakish flexibility." The group works together on a daily basis, training 20 to 25 hours per week. Dylynn Jones and Jaycee Wilkins are from DJ's mix from Disney Channel's Make Your Mark in 2012. They were the youngest contestants and they won, so they were in the show Shake It Up with the stars Zendaya Coleman and Bella Thorne.

Audition[]

Fresh Faces's audition in Episode 806 consisted of dancing as a group to "Die Young." Howie Mandel was not present for it, but Howard Stern, Heidi Klum, and Mel B all voted "Yes," sending the act to the Vegas Round.








Vegas Round[]

Fresh Faces was one of thirty acts to advance straight to the Quarterfinals in New York without performing in Las Vegas in Episode 808.







Quarterfinals[]

The Fresh Faces' Week 1 Quarterfinals performance in Episode 810 consisted of dancing as a group to Icona Pop's "I Love It." They did not receive enough votes to be sent to the Semifinals in Episode 811, eliminating them from the competition along with Special Head and Hype.

After The Show[]

In 2016, Brynn joined the cast of the Lifetime series Dance Moms, becoming a member of the Abby Lee Dance Company's junior elite team during season 6. It was confirmed that she and her mom Ashlee returned for the show's 7th season in 2017. In 2016, Bostyn Brown won the title of Junior Best Dancer at The Dance Awards in Orlando. This gave her the ability to tour with Break the Floor Productions during the following season. In 2015, Jaycee Wilkins won the title of Junior Best Dancer at The Dance Awards in Orlando. This gave her the ability to tour with Break the Floor Productions during the following season. However, during the following year, she was diagnosed with Perthes Disease in her left hip. This took her out of dance for the next two seasons. However, she has since gotten her hip replaced, and is back to competitive dance. All of the Fresh Faces, with the exception of Jenna Valenzuela, were members of the Highland Hawkettes pom team during the 2017-18 school year. Bostyn and Dylynn will be continuing with the team during the 18-19 year. Bostyn, Jenna, and Jaycee still train regularly with Club Dance Studio, while Brynn works with Alexa Moffett at her studio DancePlex. Dylynn is not active in competitive dance anymore. In the 18-19 school year, Dylynn and Jenna will be juniors in high school, while Brynn, Bostyn, and Jaycee will all be sophomores.

Trivia[]

  • Despite their audition airing after Howie Mandel returned to the judging panel after being late, it was edited to appear that he was absent for their audition.
