Helen the Foot Juggler was a novelty juggler from Season 19 of America's Got Talent. She was eliminated in the Deliberations.
Background[]
Helen the Foot Juggler’s real name is Helen Wonjila. Helen was born and raised in the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa.
She was one of several champion gymnasts who were offered a scholarship in China. Helen and the other champion gymnasts were anticipating a gymnastic scholarship, however in reality it was a circus scholarship and due to the language barrier this error couldn’t be fixed. Due to her long legs, Helen was chosen to study foot juggling.
Following her scholarship, she initially moved to Germany to continue her circus career, before eventually doing so in the Middle East & Turkey. She was later hired alongside some of the other Ethiopian gymnasts to work at a safari park in San Diego. Helen now lives in San Diego and is a full-time mom. Helen’s ambition is to get a Las Vegas residency so that she can afford her daughter’s educative fees and for her and her daughter to have the funds that they require to live a normal life.
In recent months, she has been performing at events such as NBA and Hockey Half Time Shows.
