Holly Stone was a singer from Season 3 of America's Got Talent. She was eliminated in the Vegas Round.
Background[]
Holly Stone, a nurse, had always wanted to be a singer, but life presented her many challenges at a young age. When she was 18, she became pregnant. She had to give that baby up for adoption.
After searching for years, Holly had to look to the internet to search for the daughter she had to give up so long ago. Eventually, Holly found her daughter's Myspace page. After sending each other messages over the Internet, they were able to meet face to face. They embraced, and Holly's daughter would accompany Holly at her America's Got Talent audition.
Audition[]
Holly Stone's audition in Episode 307 consisted of singing Martina McBride's "A Broken Wing". Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne, and David Hasselhoff all voted "Yes", sending Holly to the Vegas Round.
Vegas Round[]
Holly Stone was one of the Music Acts in the Vegas Round. She was sorted into the "Female Singers" category. Her performance in Episode 308 was not fully televised, but it consisted of singing. Holly's audition was strong enough for the judges to include her in the Top 60 shortlist, but she was not sent to the Top 40 Quarterfinals, eliminating her from the competition in Episode 309.
Death[]
Holly Stone died on November 22, 2008, shortly after her appearance on America's Got Talent. [1]
