Hot Pink Feathers performs World Cabaret Showgirl dance. Recent recipient of the 2012 San Francisco Performing Arts Award *and* named “Absolutely Fabulous” by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, the Feathers are committed to delighting the world, One Showgirl at a Time.
Led by the Queen of Carnaval SF 2008, Kellita, the Feathers embody full tilt joy and passion in a professional dance revue package. Highlights of the past years in the life of Hot Pink Feathers include performing in Margaret Cho’s Sensuous Woman variety shows at the Plush Room and Bimbo’s in San Francisco and at El Cid in Los Angeles and sharing the stage with Rosin Coven at The Fillmore. Hot Pink Feathers earned First Place in Original World Dance at San Francisco’s Grand Carnaval 2005 & 2006.
From family friendly to delightfully risque revues, the Feathers entertainment themes range from Brazilian Carnaval, Vegas Showgirl, New Orleans Mardi Gras, Old Havana Mambo, French Can Can, Gypsy Cabaret, Tropical Sambafest, to Bawdy Bollywood and beyond. The Feathers are veteran performers of cabarets, clubs, concerts, carnavals and corporate events, from the intimate to the grand.
The Feathers were founded in 2000 by award-winning dancer and choreographer Kellita Maloof. 1
Hot Pink Feathers' audition in Episode 203 consisted of performing a samba dance. Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne, and David Hasselhoff all buzzed the act. All three judges voted "No," eliminating the group from the competition.
