Jack the Whipper was a circus performer from Season 17 of America's Got Talent. He was eliminated in the Deliberations.

Background[]

At the time of filming, Jack Lepiarz, son of a circus performer, held a day job as a radio news anchor at NPR's WBUR in Boston. As of February 2023, he left radio to perform full time.[1]

Audition[]

Jack the Whipper's audition in Episode 1707 consisted of performing whip tricks with the assistance of Simon Cowell, including hitting a target from between Simon's legs. Simon Cowell buzzed the act but later removed his X following his daring leg trick. All the judges voted "Yes", sending him to the next round.

Deliberations[]

Jack the Whipper was not selected as one of the 55 acts in the Semifinals, eliminating him from the competition.

Trivia[]

  • Jack has set four Guinness world records including setting the most bullwhip cracks in one minute three times, and most targets hit within one minute. He is still the current record holder for most cracks in one minute at 298.
  • Jack also auditioned in Season 1, however it was never televised and got eliminated in the audition round .
  • Jack has gotten popular on TikTok due to sharing videos of part of his ren faire act where he sings popular songs while cracking whips to the beat of the songs.
