Jay Brunelle is a historical tour guide. He entertained on the set of Dan in Real Life. Jay worked as a specialties extra in Disney's motion picture, The Game Plan. Jay has been writing "Voices from The Past," a collection of songs that reflect his time working and being a part of the Slater Mill historic site in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Two songs can be heard on the Blackstone Valley Historical Society 50th Anniversary DVD, "In Your Own Backyard," which was written and narrated by Glenn Laxton.
Jay is related to Paul Brunelle (1923-1994), a Nashville Hall of Fame major country artist from Canada who was signed with RCA Victor & London labels. He is best remembered in the US for his novelty yodeling song, "The Cowboy of the Mountains." 1

Jay Brunelle's audition in Episode 401 consisted of singing Dean Martin's "That Lucky Old Sun" while playing the guitar and riding on a unicycle. Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne, and David Hasselhoff all buzzed the act. All three judges voted "No", eliminating Jay from the competition.
