Jessica Price was a singer and guitarist from Season 3 of America's Got Talent. She was eliminated in the Top 10.

Background[]

Jessica Price is from Freeport, Michigan. She sings and leads worship at her church in Hastings MI, and also sings at the occational local fair or coffee shop. She lived in Sydney, Australia for a year and attended Hillsong International Leadership College. She is really close with her four brothers and sister.

She listens to music all day long, especially the music of Mariah Carey, The Eagles, Pet Benatar, Heart, Jewel, Alanis, Bonnie Raiit, Eva Cassidy, Lily allen, Sneaky Sound System, Family Force Five, Toby Mac, Blondie, Scissor Sisters, MUSE, Timberland, Mindy Smith, Stevie Nicks, Jared Crump, and more. She is also a big fan of Disney's "The Little Mermaid." 1

Jessica has a band, The Jessica Price Band, but she is currently unsigned. The band's members are Jessica (Lead Vocals, Acoustic and Electric Guitar), Johnny Price (Bass Guitar, Programming), Kyle Preslar (Drums, Vocals), Shauna Preslar (Keyboard, Vocals), and Matthew Mitchell (Electric Guitar). 2

Audition[]

Jessica Price's audition in Episode 303 consisted of singing Bonnie Raitt's "I Can't Make You Love Me" while playing the guitar. David Hasselhoff, Sharon Osbourne, and Piers Morgan all voted "Yes", sending Jessica to the Vegas Round.

Vegas Round[]

Jessica Price was sorted into the "Female Singers" category in the Vegas Round. Her performance in Episode 308 consisted of singing Taylor Swift's "Teardrops on my Guitar" while playing the guitar. Jessica's audition was strong enough for the judges to include her in the Top 60 shortlist and to later send her to the Top 40 Quarterfinals in Episode 309.

Quarterfinals[]

Jessica Price's Part 1 Quarterfinals performance in Episode 310 consisted of singing Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time" while playing the guitar. She received enough votes to be sent to the Semifinals instead of Shimshi in Episode 311.


Semifinals[]

Jessica Price's Part 1 Semifinals performance in Episode 314 consisted of singing Colbie Caillat's "Bubbly" while playing the guitar. Piers Morgan buzzed the act. Jessica finished in either fifth or sixth place in America's Vote. In the Judges' Choice, although Sharon Osbourne did not vote for her, Piers Morgan and David Hasselhoff both did, sending Jessica to the Top 10 in Episode 316 instead of Daniel Jens.

Top 10[]

Jessica Price's Top 10 performance in Episode 317 consisted of singing Sarah McLachlan's "Angel." Jessica did not receive enough votes to be sent to the Final 5, eliminating her from the competition in Episode 318 instead of Eli Mattson.

Trivia[]

  • Jessica Price is the first act to get a vote in the Judge's Choice from a judge who buzzed her performance. She was succeeded by Aaron Crow in Season 13 where Mel B buzzed his performance but still voted him through.
  • She is the first act to be buzzed in a Semi-Final but win the Judge’s Vote,
