Jonathan Allen was an opera singer from Season 8 of America's Got Talent. He was eliminated in the Semifinals.

Background[]

Jonathan Allen, from Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, has been singing for as long as he can remember. He used music as a respite from the daily troubles of childhood and grew up liking classical music, especially Pavarotti. Jonathan enjoys playing piano and singing all styles of music. After coming out as gay to his family, Jonathan sadly learned that they would not support him, so he hopes that his "AGT" family and fans will appreciate him as a unique, standout talent. Jonathan hoped that if he won the million-dollar prize, he would open a safe house for youth in similar situations as him, to get the support and shelter they need. 1
