Kid the Wiz was a dancer in Season 8 of America's Got Talent. He was eliminated in the Quarterfinals.
Background[]
Kid the Wiz started dancing in his living room when he was just three years old. The natural-born dancer performs a style called "Litefeet (Get Lite)" and dances to music that he produces himself. While his family hails from the Dominican Republic, he and his sisters were born in the Bronx, New York. As of 2013, Kid The Wiz is a high school student who enjoys making money by dancing with his friends in the middle of Times Square.
Audition[]
Kid the Wiz's audition in Episode 801 consisted of "litefeet" dancing to his own music, effortlessly playing around with his hat throughout the performance. Howard Stern, Heidi Klum, Mel B, and Howie Mandel all voted "Yes," sending Kid the Wiz to the Vegas Round.
Vegas Round[]
Kid the Wiz was sorted into the "Dance" category in the Vegas Round. His performance in Episode 808 consisted of performing more hat tricks and litefeet dancing. Unfortunately, he made a mistake during one trick. Nevertheless, his performance was strong enough for the judges to send him to the Quarterfinals along with Hype in Episode 809.
Quarterfinals[]
Kid the Wiz's Week 2 Quarterfinals performance in Episode 812 consisted of dancing to Chris Brown's "Fine China" and performing hat tricks such as spinning his hat around one finger, holding the hat with his elbow, and catching a hat tossed from another person's head onto his head. Kid the Wiz did not receive enough votes to be sent to the Semifinals in Episode 813, eliminating him from the competition along with Brad Byers and Dave Shirley.
