Kylie Frey was a singer from Season 18 of America's Got Talent. She was eliminated in the Semifinals.
Background[]
Kylie Frey hails from Opelousas, Louisiana. Kylie comes from a big rodeo family and sings the American National anthem at every rodeo that she attends as she just loves to sing. Kylie’s inspiration is Reba McEntire. Her grandpa always told her that if she sang the National anthem for every Rodeo that she showed up to, that she could one day be asked by somebody to do so for the National Finals Rodeo, also known as the NFR, which Kylie describes as the Super Bowl of Rodeo.
Audition[]
Kylie Frey's audition in Episode 1808 consisted of performing an original song about her grandpa entitled “Horses in Heaven” as she played the guitar whilst accompanied by a small backing group with two members playing the guitar and a third member playing the drums. Although Howie Mandel voted "No", Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara and Simon Cowell voted "Yes", sending her to the next round.
Deliberations[]
Kylie was chosen to advance to the Semifinals.
Semifinals[]
Kylie Frey's Semifinals performance in Episode 1816 consisted of singing her original song "I Do Thing" backed by her band. She did not receive enough votes to enter the top 5 of the night in Episode 1817, eliminating her from the competition along with Freedom Singers instead of Anna DeGuzman.
