Light Balance Kids was a light-up dance group from Season 14 of America's Got Talent. They finished in the Bottom 5 of the Top 10. They returned for America's Got Talent: All-Stars where they finished the competition in 3rd place.

Background[]

A junior sequel to their Golden Buzzer mentors Light Balance, Light Balance Kids is a group of high-tech performers who dance in the dark with synchronized moves and programmed cues of EL and LED lights integrated into their costumes.

The group was formed in late 2018 and consists of 13 dancers between the ages of 11 and 14 from Ukraine's capital, Kyiv. [1]

The group competed on Ukraine's Got Talent in 2017. [2]

Audition[]

Light Balance Kids' audition in Episode 1402 consisted of giving an LED dance performance based on Iron Man to Queen's "Another One Bites The Dust". Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union, Julianne Hough, and Simon Cowell all voted "Yes", sending the group to the Judge Cuts.

Judge Cuts[]

Light Balance Kids' Judge Cuts performance in Episode 1409 consisted of giving an LED dance where the members perform as robots. Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union, Julianne Hough, Simon Cowell, and guest judge Ellie Kemper all gave them standing ovations. Extremely impressed with their performance, Ellie hit her Golden Buzzer, sending the group directly to the Quarterfinals.

Quarterfinals[]

Light Balance Kids' Quarterfinals performance in Episode 1413 consisted of performing an LED dance routine set to Billie Ellish's "Bad Guy" and the Jonas Brothers' "Sucker". Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union, and Julianne Hough gave them standing ovations. They received enough votes to advance to the Semifinals in Episode 1414 along with Robert Finley instead of Nick & Lindsay.

Semifinals[]

Light Balance Kids' Semifinals performance in Episode 1417 consisted of performing an LED dance routine portraying the heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe set to The Scorpions' "Rock You Like a Hurricane" and Bon Jovi's "Living on a Prayer". Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union, Julianne Hough, Simon Cowell and guest judge Sean Hayes all gave them standing ovations.  The group finished in 4th, 5th or 6th place in America's Vote.  In the Dunkin' Save, they received more online votes than Ndlovu Youth Choir and Robert Finley, advancing to the Finals in Episode 1418.

Finals[]

Light Balance Kids' Finals performance in Episode 1421 consisted of performing a light-up dance routine with a diner/fast food theme set to Jason Derulo's "Kiss the Sky" and DNCE's "Cake by the Ocean".  Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union, Julianne Hough an Simon Cowell all gave them standing ovations.

Finale[]

For the finale in Episode 1422, Light Balance Kids performed a reprise of their Judge Cuts routine with Paula Abdul following Tyler Butler-Figueroa and Brian King Joseph's violin duet of Ariana Grande's "7 Rings".  They did not receive enough votes to advance to the Top 5, eliminating them from the competition instead of Kodi Lee.

All-Stars Preliminary[]

Light Balance Kids' Preliminary performance in Episode AS01 consisted of performing a light-up dance routine with a video game/arcade theme with assistance from their senior counterparts Light Balance in the place of those who could not make it due to the situation in Ukraine. Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Simon Cowell all gave them standing ovations. Amazed by their performance, Howie hit the Golden Buzzer, sending them straight to the Final.

All-Stars Final[]

Light Balance Kids' Finals performance in Episode AS07 consisted of performing a light-up dance routine set to Rockwell's "Somebody's Watching Me" and American Authors' "Microphone" together with members of Light Balance. Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Simon Cowell all gave them standing ovations.

All-Stars Finale[]

In the Episode AS08 finale, Light Balance Kids collaborated with Kodi Lee performing Avicii's "Wake Me Up". They received enough votes from the Superfans to enter the Top 5 instead of Detroit Youth Choir. They finished in 3rd place ahead of Ana Maria Mărgean and Aidan McCann, but behind Aidan Bryant and Avery Dixon.

After AGT[]

In 2021, they auditioned for the 15th season of Germany's Got Talent, where they received the Golden Buzzer from the Ehrlich Brothers and progressed to the Finals.

After AGT All-Stars[]

In 2023, they competed on the thirteenth season of Italy’s Got Talent where they were eliminated in the Semi-Finals.

Trivia[]

  • Light Balance Kids is among a group of acts that received a Golden Buzzer on both AGT and an international version of the Got Talent franchise.
  • They are the third act to receive the Golden Buzzer twice on AGT, following Angelica Hale and V.Unbeatable. They were followed by Detroit Youth Choir, Sofie Dossi, and Kodi Lee.
  • They are the sixth known act worldwide to receive three Golden Buzzers.
