America's Got Talent Wiki

Light Balance Kids were a light-up dance group act from Season 14 of America's Got Talent. They finished in the Bottom 5 of the Top 10.

A junior sequel to their Golden Buzzer mentors Light Balance, Light Balance Kids is a group of high-tech performers who dance in the dark with synchronized moves and programmed cues of EL and LED lights integrated into their costumes.

The group was formed in late 2018 and consists of 13 dancers between the ages of 11 and 14 from Ukraine's capital, Kiev. [1]

The group competed on Ukraine's Got Talent in 2017. [2]

Light Balance Kids' audition in Episode 1402 consisted of giving an LED dance performance based on Iron Man to Queen's "Another One Bites The Dust". Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union, Julianne Hough, and Simon Cowell all voted "Yes", sending the group to the Judge Cuts.

Judge Cuts

Light Balance Kids' Judge Cuts performance in Episode 1409 consisted of giving an LED dance where the members perform as robots. Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union, Julianne Hough, Simon Cowell, and guest judge Ellie Kemper all gave them standing ovations. Extremely impressed with their performance, Ellie hit her Golden Buzzer, sending the group directly to the Quarterfinals.

Light Balance Kids' Quarterfinals performance in Episode 1413 consisted of performing an LED dance routine set to Billie Ellish's "Bad Guy" and the Jonas Brothers' "Sucker". Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union, and Julianne Hough gave them standing ovations. They received enough votes to advance to the Semifinals in Episode 1414 along with Robert Finley instead of Nick & Lindsay.

Light Balance Kids' Semifinals performance in Episode 1417 consisted of performing an LED dance routine portraying the heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe set to The Scorpions' "Rock You Like a Hurricane" and Bon Jovi's "Living on a Prayer". Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union, Julianne Hough, Simon Cowell and guest judge Sean Hayes all gave them standing ovations.  The group finished in 4th, 5th or 6th place in America's Vote.  In the Dunkin' Save, they received more online votes than Ndlovu Youth Choir and Robert Finley, advancing to the Finals in Episode 1418.

Light Balance Kids' Finals performance in Episode 1421 consisted of performing a light-up dance routine with a diner/fast food theme set to Jason Derulo's "Kiss the Sky" and DNCE's "Cake by the Ocean".  Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union, Julianne Hough an Simon Cowell all gave them standing ovations.

For the finale in Episode 1422, Light Balance Kids performed a reprise of their Judge Cuts routine with Paula Abdul following Tyler Butler-Figueroa and Brian King Joseph's violin duet of Ariana Grande's "7 Rings".  They did not receive enough votes to advance to the Top 5, eliminating them from the competition instead of Kodi Lee.

After AGT

In 2021, they auditioned for the 15th season of Germany's Got Talent, where they received the Golden Buzzer from the Ehrlich Brothers and progressed to the Finals.

  • Light Balance Kids is the fifth act in Got Talent history to receive the Golden Buzzer on both AGT and one of the international versions of the franchise. The first four were Light Balance, their older counterpart (Germany's Got Talent and Season 12), Zurcaroh (France's Got Talent and Season 13 (Coincidentally, in both instances, it was the show's host that gave them the honor (Tyra Banks and David Ginola)), Emanne Beasha (Arabs Got Talent and Season 14), and World Taekwondo Demonstration Team (Italy's Got Talent and Season 16). If you count Kseniya Simonova (AGT Champions 1 and BGT Champions) and Boogie Storm (Britain's Got Talent and AGT Champions 2) from The Champions, they also fit this category.
