Linkin' Bridge was a vocal group act from Season 11 of America's Got Talent. They finished in the Bottom 5 of the Top 10.

Background

Linkin' Bridge is a musical group consisting of Louisville natives Big Rome, Montre Davis, Shon China Lacy, Ekoe Alexanda. Montre and China are cousins that have known each other all their lives. The pair met the two other members when they were teenagers.

The group grew up in the hip-hop era, listening to Run–D.M.C., Tupac, and N.W.A. Their goal is to take their message to the masses with controversy and comedy. [1]

Audition

Linkin' Bridge's audition in Episode 1101 consisted of singing "Over the Rainbow" as a group. Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell all voted "Yes," sending the group to the Judge Cuts.

Judge Cuts

Linkin' Bridge's Judge Cuts performance in Episode 1107 consisted of singing Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Free Bird" as a group. Linkin' Bridge's performance was strong enough for the judges to send the group to the Quarterfinals along with Edgar.

Quarterfinals

Linkin' Bridge's Week 3 Quarterfinals performance in Episode 1115 consisted of singing Elvis Presley's "Always on My Mind" as a group. Howie Mandel gave the group a standing ovation. Linkin' Bridge finished in sixth, seventh, or eighth place in America's Vote. In the Dunkin' Save, Linkin' Bridge received fewer online votes than Malevo. In the Judges' Choice, although Heidi Klum did not vote for the group, Howie Mandel, Mel B, and Simon Cowell did, sending it to the Semifinals in Episode 1116 instead of Ronee.

Semifinals

Linkin' Bridge's Week 2 Semifinals performance in Episode 1119 consisted of singing Lukas Graham's "7 Years" as a group. Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell all gave the group standing ovations. Linkin' Bridge received enough votes to be sent to the Finals in Episode 1120 instead of Jayna Brown.

Finals

Linkin' Bridge's Finals performance in Episode 1121 consisted of singing "See You Again" by Charlie Puth. Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell all gave the group standing ovations.

Finale

For the finale in Episode 1122, Linkin' Bridge sang Lukas Graham's "7 Years" as a group while Silhouettes shadowdanced. Linkin' Bridge did not receive enough votes to be included in the Top 5, eliminating the group from the competition instead of Jon Dorenbos.

Trivia

  • Linkin' Bridge is the only finalist in Season 11 that relied on the Judges' Choice in the Quarterfinals.
  • Linkin' Bridge is the only finalist in Season 11 that made the Top 3 voted by the viewers in the Semifinals but did not make the Top 5 in the Finals.
