Maggie Lane is a soprano from Columbus, Ohio; however, she has spent most of her adult life in California. Maggie received her Bachelors of Arts degree (cum laude) from Pepperdine University in Music and Spanish. She received an academic, music and athletic scholarship to attend. As a former international elite gymnast, Maggie easily transitioned into a one and three meter spring board diver for the NCAA Division I Swimming and Diving team at Pepperdine University. While maintaining academic honors she also performed major opera roles throughout her undergraduate experience.
Maggie attended the San Francisco Conservatory of Music for her Masters of Music (magna cum laude) and post graduate work (summa cum laude). While in San Francisco, Maggie sang lead roles ranging from the barroque era to the 21 century in several languages at the conservatory, with local San Francisco companies and in Europe. She participated in the eduational outreach program with SFCM as she believes in educating the youth about the classic arts.
Maggie has also performed in Northern and Southern California, Europe and Egypt; and she continues to sing worldwide.
Also, Maggie will always be an athlete. She grew up doing gymnastics, playing tennis, golf and swimming to name a few. Now, she practices light yoga, stretching and MFR techniques. Maggie is certified in Nutrition, Vitamins and Mineral Supplementation, Health and Wellness Coaching, Personal training, Yoga, Gymnastics etc... as her quest for knowledge will never stop.
Professionally, she has an extensive background in finance with her series 6 and series 63 license and is always looking to learn more.
Maggie hopes to inspire people to accomplish their goals; and she is a strong advocate of education as it is empowering. However cliché, knowledge is power.
Maggie Lane's audition in Episode 904 consisted of singing "O mio babbino caro." In the middle of her performance, she stripped to a bikini. Howard Stern, Heidi Klum, Mel B, and Howie Mandel all voted "Yes," sending Maggie to Judgment Week.
It is unknown whether or not Maggie Lane was present during Judgment Week as she was never seen, but even if she was, she did not advance to the Quarterfinals.
