Malevo was a Malambo group act from Season 11 of America's Got Talent. It was eliminated in the Semifinals.
Background
Malevo consists of a group of eight men from Buenos Aires, Argentina. They like to consider themselves the "Magic Mikes" of Argentina. The members grew up in poverty, some with no electricity and power. To make ends meet, the members have jobs such as carpentry, construction, and gas attendants. Most of the team have known each other since they were little kids.
Audition
Malevo's audition in Episode 1102 consisted of performing a rhythmic Malambo routine with tap dancing in gaucho's boots, beating drums, and whirling boleadoras rhythmically. Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell all voted "Yes," sending the group to the Judge Cuts.
Judge Cuts
Malevo's Judge Cuts performance in Episode 1109 consisted of performing a rhythmic Malambo routine to the tune of Marilyn Manson's "The Beautiful People", beating drums in a horizontal line, whirling boleadoras up and down ramps, tap dancing in gaucho's boots, and whirling flaming and glowing boleadoras.
