Malevo is a Malambo group act from Season 11 of America's Got Talent.

Background

Malevo consists of a group of eight men from Buenos Aires, Argentina. They like to consider themselves the "Magic Mikes" of Argentina. The members grew up in poverty, some with no electricity and power. To make ends meet, the members have jobs such as carpentry, construction, and gas attendants. Most of the team have known each other since they were little kids.

Audition

Malevo's audition in Episode 1102 consisted of performing a rhythmic Malambo routine with tap dancing in gaucho's boots, beating drums, and whirling boleadoras rhythmically. Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell all voted "Yes," sending the group to the Judge Cuts.

Judge Cuts

Malevo's Judge Cuts performance in Episode 1109 consisted of performing a rhythmic Malambo routine to the tune of Marilyn Manson's "The Beautiful People", beating drums in a horizontal line, whirling boleadoras up and down ramps, tap dancing in gaucho's boots, and whirling flaming and glowing boleadoras. Howie Mandel, Mel B, George Lopez, and Heidi Klum gave the group standing ovations. Impressed by the performance, guest judge George Lopez pressed his Golden Buzzer for Malevo, sending the group straight to the Quarterfinals.

Quarterfinals

Malevo's Week 3 Quarterfinals performance in Episode 1115 consisted of performing a rhythmic Malambo routine to the tune of Woodkid's "Run Boy Run", tap dancing in gaucho's boots in unison, beating drums in a circle, twirling staffs, tap dancing in gaucho's boots, and whirling boleadoras. Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell all gave the group standing ovations. Malevo finished in sixth, seventh, or eighth place in America's Vote. In the Dunkin' Save, the group received more online votes than both Linkin' Bridge and Ronee Martin, sending it to the Semifinals in Episode 1116.

Semifinals

Malevo's Week 1 Semifinals performance in Episode 1117 consisted of beating drums in a horizontal line, tap dancing in gaucho's boots in unison, and finally tap dancing on a small pool such that water would splash across the stage and on the dancers. Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell all gave the group standing ovations.
