Mandy Harvey was a singer and ukulelist from Season 12 of America's Got Talent. She finished in 4th place. She returned for America's Got Talent: All-Stars where she finished in 3rd place in her Preliminary week.

Background[]

Mandy Harvey is an award winning singer, songwriter and motivational speaker who just happens to have an invisible disability. A Vocal Music Education major at Colorado State University, Mandy lost her residual hearing in 2006-2007 at age eighteen due to a connective tissue disorder that affected her nerves and left the program. She pursued several career options, including education, but returned to music in 2008, her true passion could no longer be denied. She quickly became a regular performer at various venues and has released three albums thus far. With support from friends, family and her faith, Mandy continues to find joy in music.

In 2011, Mandy won VSA’s Top Young Soloist Award and lived a personal dream of performing at the Kennedy Center in DC. She continues to perform around the United States and has been recently featured on NBC Nights News, Canada AM, The Steve Harvey Show, and the Los Angeles Times. In addition to performing and speaking, Mandy has become an ambassador to both No Barriers USA and Invisible Disabilities Association with a mission to encourage, inspire and assist others to break through their personal barriers. Mandy Harvey's audition in Episode 1202 consisted of singing her original song "Try" while playing the ukulele. Moved by her performance, Simon Cowell pressed his Golden Buzzer to send Mandy straight to the Quarterfinals.

Quarterfinals[]

Mandy Harvey's Week 2 Quarterfinals performance in Episode 1213 consisted of singing her original song "Mara's Song" while playing the ukulele. Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell all gave her standing ovations. Mandy received enough votes to advance to the Semifinals in Episode 1214 over The Pompeyo Family.

Semifinals[]

Mandy Harvey's Week 2 Semifinals performance in Episode 1219 consisted of singing her original song "Release Me", simultaneously communicating with sign language. Mel B, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell gave her standing ovations. Mandy received enough votes to advance to the Finals in Episode 1220 instead of Celine Tam and The Pompeyo Family.

Finals[]

Mandy Harvey's Finals performance in Episode 1221 consisted of singing her original song "This Time" while playing the ukulele. Heidi Klum and Simon Cowell gave her standing ovations.

Finale[]

For the finale in Episode 1222, Mandy sang "(You're) Still The One" with Shania Twain. Mandy received enough votes to advance to the top 5 instead of Chase Goehring. She finished in 4th place ahead of Sara and Hero, but behind Darci Lynne, Angelica Hale and Light Balance.

All-Stars Preliminary[]

Mandy Harvey's Preliminary performance in Episode AS05 consisted of singing and signing her original song "Something I Can Feel". Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Simon Cowell all gave her standing ovations. She received enough votes from the Superfans to enter the Top 3 of the night. She finished in 3rd place behind Ana Maria Mărgean and Peter Rosalita, eliminating her from the competition.
